Three persons were arrested for allegedly stealing bicycles from Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) campus. Six stolen cycles have been recovered from their possession.

The accused, identified as Ram Pravesh Shah, a resident of Ranjit Nagar, Jai Prakash of Ranjit Nagar and Sarvan Chaudhary of Deep Nagar, Sherpur, have confessed to stealing around 10 cycles from the campus in the last one month. Earlier on Sunday, security guards deputed at Gate Number 2 of PAU nabbed one of them. His interrogation led to the arrest of the other two.
Assistant sub-inspector ASI Pratap Singh, the investigating officer, said the accused have been booked under Section 379 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code.
