Inquiry marked for MC’s list of employees for regularisation
Ludhiana: A day after the civic body officials were accused of including ‘dead, non-existent and long-absent’ employees in the list of contractual employees to be regularised, MC commissioner Shena Aggarwal marked an inquiry to MC joint commissioner Ankur Mahindroo who has to submit a report within a week. The row had erupted during the General House meeting when MC officials tabled the resolution to regularise 3,593 contractual sweepers and sewermen. The councillors questioned how the number of employees to be regularised had increased from 2,517 in December last year to 3,593. HTC
