Haryana BJP president Archana Gupta on Saturday said the opposition party lacked a clear ideology and effective leadership. Addressing mediapersons during a felicitation programme organised in Bahadurgarh town of Jhajjar district following her appointment as the state BJP chief, Gupta said the Congress had relied on “dynastic politics” and failed to deliver effective governance during its years in power both at the Centre and in Haryana.

She said the party’s focus would remain on strengthening booth-level organisation and increasing the participation of youth and women in the party.
She expressed confidence that the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, which provides for 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies, would be implemented under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.
BJP national secretary and former Haryana minister Om Prakash Dhankhar said the party organisation in Haryana would become stronger under Gupta’s leadership.
