Panipat man get life term for murder, rape of 3-yr-old
While pronouncing the judgment, the fast-track court of additional district and sessions judge Sukhpreet Singh ruled that the convict is to remain in jail till his last breath and also imposed a fine of ₹1.35 lakh on him.
A special court in Panipat on Tuesday sentenced a 40-year-old man to life imprisonment for the murder and rape of three years old girl in 2019.
While pronouncing the judgment, the fast-track court of additional district and sessions judge Sukhpreet Singh ruled that the convict is to remain in jail till his last breath and also imposed a fine of ₹1.35 lakh on him.
As per the police investigation, the incident was reported in a locality under Quila police station of Panipat city on March 14, 2019, as the father of the victim filed a police complaint alleging that the accused Rajesh, who was a labourer had allegedly taken the victim to his room and killed her after rape.
The girl was found dead in his room and she was taken to hospital where doctors had declared her brought dead. Police had booked the accused under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code and later sections of rape and kidnapping and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, were also included after the medical examination of the victim.
