Punjab, Haryana witness hot weather conditions

Most places in both states saw maximum temperatures hovering 3-4 degrees above the seasonal average. In Punjab, sizzling heat prevailed in Bathinda, which recorded a maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius.

Among the other places, Faridkot recorded a maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius, Ludhiana 40.6 degrees Celsius, Patiala 41.6 degrees Celsius, and Amritsar 40.1 degrees Celsius.

In Haryana, Rohtak witnessed a maximum temperature of 43.3 degrees Celsius.

Hisar recorded a maximum temperature of 42.1 degrees Celsius, Narnaul 42.7 degrees Celsius, Karnal 41.4 degrees Celsius, Gurugram 40.3 degrees Celsius, Ambala 40.8 degrees Celsius and Sirsa 43 degrees Celsius.

In Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, the maximum temperature settled at 40 degrees Celsius.

Faridkot – 42 degrees Celsius

Patiala – 41.6 degrees Celsius

Haryana

Rohtak – 43.3 degrees Celsius

Sirsa – 43 degrees Celsius

Narnaul – 42.7 degrees Celsius
