A 34-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband and his girlfriend in Rohtak’s Nehru Colony.

Preliminary police investigation revealed that the deceased, identified as Chinki, 34, was allegedly strangled to death following a dispute late Thursday night.

Chinki was survived by a four-year-old son and a seven-year-old daughter. However, the police claimed that the accused also took the children after the murder.

According to police, the accused Govind, who works at a private company, brought his girlfriend Pooja to his house on Thursday night. Reportedly objecting to the alleged affair, Rinki confronted the accused leading to a quarrel between the three that soon turned into a brawl.

On Friday morning neighbours reported the incident to police when they got to know about the incident that had occurred the previous night. The deceased’s body was sent for a postmortem.

A case has been registered on the statement of the deceased’s mother, Kamslesh, under the relevant sections of BNS against the accused and his associate, investigation to arrest them is underway.
