Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday visited Safidon town of Jind district and met the families of those who died in the recent fire tragedy at an illegal factory. Offering his condolences, the CM said that such a tragedy should never happen to anyone.

He added that the families are going through immense loss, and in this difficult time, the government is with them and will provide all possible assistance. Assuring the affected families, he said that the government will bear the cost of children’s education and the treatment of the injured. He also stated that the victims will get complete justice and that those responsible will not be spared.

On March 7, 12 women died in the fire incident at an illegal factory, reportedly engaged in packing of Holi colours. Initially, four women workers died at the spot, while others succumbed to injuries during treatment. Following the tragedy, the CM had annouced financial assistance of 5 lakh to the families of each deceased and 2 lakh to the injured.
