Saini stops convoy to help accident victims in Kurukshetra

Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on late Wednesday evening stopped his convoy in Kurukshetra to help two men injured in an accident on Ladwa-Babain road.

Officials said that the CM immediately instructed his security personnel and personal doctor to provide first aid to the injured. Later, he ordered the ambulance operators accompanying his convoy to take the injured to nearest hospital.

The victims, Amit, 27, of Beed Kalwa and Rajat Kumar, 30, of Surajgarh village, were admitted to Shahbad community health centre.

In a statement, Saini said that it is our primary duty to help the accidental victims. He said that under the Haryana Safe Roads Policy, the government provides incentives and a citation to anyone who helps the injured.

Saini was returning back to Chandigarh after a brief visit to Babain village, where he visited Up Jyotirlinga Nageshwar Mahadev Dham, to inspect the damage due to collapse of the dome in recent days.

He also paid tributes at the Samadhi of Saint Nataraja Giri, who died in the incident and also announced to give 21 lakh funds for the temple.
