Police arrested two men with a total of 291 gm heroin from different parts of the city on Friday.

The district crime cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Rahul, 22, of Bardana Colony, Grain Market, Sector 26, for carrying 26 gm heroin.
He was apprehended near the main gate of Butterfly Park in Sector 26.
In another case, the operation cell arrested Raju Singh, 30, of Sector 49, after finding 265 gm heroin in his possession. He was caught during checking on the Sukhna Lake-Kishangarh road.
Both men were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Sector-26 police station.
Police said Raju, a taxi driver by profession, disclosed that he used to bring the contraband from Delhi and further distributed and sold it in Kajheri, where multiple hotels were located. For quick money, he also supplied narcotics in night clubs.
The accused was previously also booked under the Excise Act at the Shambhu police station in Patiala, Punjab, in 2017 and under the NDPS Act at the Patli Kul police station in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, in March this year. He was produced before a court and sent to three-day police custody.
