A fire broke out at a garments factory in east Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar area on Sunday morning, officials said.

No injuries or deaths have been reported so far, with firefighters dousing the flames and carrying out cooling operations at the site.
The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) control room received a call about the fire at a factory in Pratap Gali, Gandhi Nagar, at 10.06am. Six fire tenders were rushed to the spot, officials said.
“The fire was on the second floor of a garment factory. The fire fighters have doused the flames, and the control room has been informed that the fire has stopped. Nobody is injured or dead,” said the DFS official.
Police said they have launched a probe to ascertain the exact cause of the fire. Prima facie, they suspect a short circuit could have led to the fire.
