“Gujarati ka dimag, Punjabi ki takat, is bound to set the stage on fire with reality show Nach Baliye Season 8, starting from April 2,” says Indian stand-up comedian and actress, Bharti Singh, who belongs to Amritsar.
Bharti was in Chandigarh on Friday, with long-time beau Haarsh Limbhachiya, who will be seen on-camera for the first time.
The couple was here to appeal for votes and to share as to how they will be celebrating their love on the stage of Nach Baliye.
Introducing Haarsh, Bharti says, “Mein apni awaaz ke saath baithi hoon (I am sitting with my voice). Haarsh is not only the man behind all my scripts, but also the man behind my success. Together, we have made the audience laugh. Now it’s time for us to grove together and do some romancewala dance on the show (Nach Baliye).”
Talking about her relation with her fiancé, Bharti says, “We have known each other for seven years now. Haarsh has been writing my scripts, but is camera shy. People have seen me doing all the mad stuff, but they have not seen him, which is why we have to work on our dance performances.”
Meanwhile, talking about their chemistry, Haarsh says, “We have been working together; and 99.9% of the time, we are laughing and stalking people around us. I read that a couple that spends more time in laughing, stays for a longer period of time.”

When asked if he has manages to speak Punjabi with Bharti, Haarsh says, “Bharti speaks in Punjabi only. Be it with Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan. Thus, I had no option but to learn speaking in Punjabi. But Bharti has not yet learnt Gujarati.”
Sharing his experience of being behind the camera, he says, “I find it difficult to face the camera. I have never wanted to do it and will never do it. This show will be the last time that I’ll be in front of a camera. I have not danced ever in my life, even after drinking; thus, dance for me is next to impossible.”
However, while talking about their wedding plans, Bharti adds, “It depends on how much we earn in Nach Baliye’s episodes. If we earn less, we’ll get married in a temple. Otherwise, we’ll arrange for a grand ceremony.”
Nach Baliye Season 8, produced by BBC, will start airing from April 2, every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm on Star Plus.
