6 foreigners among injured in road accident due to fog in UP
Reportedly, these tourists were from New York and were traveling to Agra, presumably to visit the Taj Mahal. Those injured were identified as Louis, 58, Andria,56, Carla, 60, Katie, 22, Rohanda, 52, and Paul, 53.
Six foreigners were among those injured on the Yamuna Expressway on Tuesday when the vehicle - that they were in - collided with a container owing to poor visibility due to dense fog. The accident happened in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. The injured were immediately rushed to hospital, with two of them in critical condition. Apart from the foreigners, the bus driver, Subash, was also reported to have sustained injury.

Dense fog in the countryside has hit vehicular and train traffic in a big way in Uttar Pradesh in the last few days. Multiple road accidents have been reported from UP and other parts of north India.

In a similar fog-related incident, a Nepal-bound bus carrying 60 passengers rammed into a truck on the expressway in Unnao on Monday, leaving the driver and three Nepalese citizens dead. In the other incident, three passengers were killed, while 18 others were injured as a Sultanpur-bound bus fell off the expressway in Piprauli village. The bus carrying 30 passengers was coming from Anand Vihar in Delhi. Four passengers were seriously injured in the accident that took place on Sunday night.
