BJP to take out two-day Tiranga Yatra in Uttar Pradesh from today
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would launch a bike rally in the state capital as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would take out a two-day ‘Tiranga Yatra’ across the state from Tuesday after which the party would approach the people and urge them to display the Tricolour at their homes.
Lawmakers and party functionaries would be part of this yatra that is being taken out as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign timed with the completion of 75 years of country’s independence, BJP general secretary Amar Pal Maurya said.
The chief minister Yogi Adityanath, had at a recent review meeting set a target to hoist 4.50 crore national flags in the state.
“Under the Tricolour campaign, the national flag should be hoisted at all residences, government and private offices and buildings and other establishments,” the CM had ordered. People would also be encouraged to take selfies and post them on the https://harghartiranga.com/ portal.
“From today till August 15 (Independence Day), the party would ensure that each house displays a Tricolour,” Maurya said.
All party functionaries from the state till the booth-level, would be part of the campaign. The two-day Tiranga Yatra would be followed by a cleanliness drive on August 11, as part of which the cadres would clean up the area in and around the statues of great leaders.
“From Thursday, we would also take out prabhat pheris (morning rounds) across villages and cities to create ‘janjagran (awareness)’. From August 13 to 15, the party would knock each door to make the HarGharTiranga campaign a success,” said BJP leader Himanshu Dubey.
Several party cadres like Dilip Srivasatava, a local corporator from Maithlisharan Gupta ward in Indiranagar, have started distributing Tricolour to the people.
“I have been distributing 300 Tricolour daily since July 27. We are also making an appeal to the business community to deck up and decorate markets on the occasion,” Srivastava said.
In Deoband, the national vice president of BJP’s minority wing Javed Malik said they have begun distributing the Tricolour and were also taking out bike rallies to make the ‘HarGharTiranga’ campaign a success.

“The bike rally would start from Patel statue at Hazratganj crossing and conclude at the martyr’s memorial,” said Lucknow BJP spokesman Praveen Garg.
