Ram temple in Ayodhya to be symbol of national pride: Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said the Ram temple in Ayodhya will become a symbol of national pride. The construction of the Ram temple will be completed in 2023.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the first PM of the country to have visited Ayodhya for darshan of Ram Lalla, Yogi said, addressing public meetings in Dwarka and Kutch districts in poll-bound Gujarat.
The PM had laid the foundation of the Ram temple, the chief minister stated. Once the construction of the temple is completed, the idol of Ram Lalla will be installed at the sanctum sanctorum, he said. Devotees across the country will feel proud of the grand Ram temple, Yogi Adityanath added.
Yogi Adityanath also said the construction of Kashi Vishwanath Dham has been completed in Varanasi.
“People are aware of the renovation of Mahakal temple in Ujjain, Kedarnath and Badrinath in Uttarakhand. In Gujarat, too, the premises of Somnath temple have been restored, Dwarkadish and Amba temples are being renovated. It shows the determination of Prime Minister Modi to restore the symbols of faith in the country,” he said.
The connection between U.P. and Gujarat is age- old, he said, adding that Lord Krishna was born in Mathura and when he came to Gujarat the people there made him Dwarkadish.
“Gujarat is a land of inspiration for all across the country. The freedom struggle was fought under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. Post independence, Sardar Patel united the country by merging the princely states. When the politics of the country was passing through anarchy and corruption were at its peak under the Congress government, the then chief minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi worked to take the reins of the country. Today, our country has become one of the largest economies in the world,” he said.
“When our country is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, it has become the fifth largest economy in the world replacing the United Kingdom that ruled India for 200 years. India is leading the G-20 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today, India is moving toward new heights of development. We are building a new India, the border of the country is safe. Terrorism, corruption and separatist forces are at their end. Article 370 has been scrapped to bring Jammu and Kashmir into the national mainstream,” he said.
Yogi Adityanath also said, “This is the new picture of new India. Along with honouring faith, Modi has stood with people during period of crisis. During Covid-19 pandemic, the BJP government provided free test, free treatment, free vaccine and free rations. The double engine government is giving a double dose of rations in Gujarat.”
He said had the Congress been in power, the people would not have got free tests, treatment, vaccine and rations.
The Congress government would have never removed Article 370 nor worked for the construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya, he further said.
“The Congress would not have done anything. It cannot work for the establishment of the prestige of the country on international platforms nor keep our borders safe, nor take the country toward prosperity. Neither has it the will to honour the faith of the people. Then why you should vote for Congress?” he asked.
He described the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as the carbon copy of the Congress.
“There is no difference between the two parties, daily new scams are coming to light in Delhi. The national capital has been ruined; the AAP government is playing with the careers of students. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the AAP government left the people in lurch. They played with the lives of people, made false promises and spread anarchy,” he alleged.
“I urge the people to reject Congress and AAP in the assembly election to bring BJP to power again,” he appealed to voters.
