The budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature for 2026-27 will commence on Monday with governor Anandiben Patel’s address to both Houses. The House proceedings are scheduled to continue until February 20, according to a press statement.

On February 10, the House will offer condolences over the death of current and former members. The following day, finance minister Suresh Khanna will present the budget for the financial year 2026–27. After that, a discussion on the Governor’s address will be held in the form of a motion of thanks. With February 14 and 15 falling on Saturday and Sunday, the House will remain adjourned over the weekend. The proceedings will resume on February 16.
Assembly speaker Satish Mahana has requested all members to cooperate for the successful conduct of the House. Leader of the House and chief minister Yogi Adityanath has appealed to all members to place issues related to the public in the House and, through healthy discussion, extend cooperation to the government in order to give momentum to the development of the state.
