Khuldabad police questioned local officer bearer of Welfare Party of India, Javed Mohammad aka Javed Pump, the alleged key accused in the June 10 arson and violence in Atala area of Prayagraj, about his bank accounts and sources of income besides his connections with different organisations during his two-day police remand that ended on Sunday, police officials aware of the development said.

Javed was also asked about the countrymade firearms which the police have claimed were recovered from his allegedly illegally constructed house here that was demolished by Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) on June 12.
During his remand period, Javed was kept at Khuldabad police station amidst tight security and was escorted back to Deoria jail on Sunday evening. Station house officer, Khuldabad police station, Anurag Sharma said during questioning Javed informed the police that he belonged to Chayal in Kaushambi district and used to deal in water pumps due to which he became famous as Javed Pump.
Javed gave information about his different bank accounts. He was also questioned about his and his daughter Afreen Fatima’s links with different organisations, SHO added. Javed Mohammad was arrested on June 11 in connection with the Prayagraj violence.
