Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said legislators, under the leadership of respective MPs, should take command of the district level investors summits to be held ahead of the Global Investors Summit-2023 scheduled in Lucknow on February 10-12.
He also said the state government’s various policies should be discussed at the local universities, colleges, polytechnics and the industrial training institutes of Uttar Pradesh.
Public representatives were brand ambassadors of their area and should make efforts to introduce it to the world, he said.
Public representatives should speak to the investors about the state government’s various sectoral policies, he added.
Yogi Adityanath was reviewing development projects of Bareilly and Devipatan divisions at a meeting with public representatives of the region here on Wednesday. He said investor summits should be organised in Bareilly and Devipatan divisions as well as in many other districts. Public representatives should take cooperation of the district administration, industrial development department, Invest UP and the chief minister’s office for holding the summits, he said.
The chief minister got feedback from the MPs and MLAs who had come from Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Badaun, Gonda, Sravasti, Bahraich and Balrampur. He also got feedback about the cold wave conditions, farming and steps taken for the protection of cows there. He gave directives for immediate resolving of the issues that the public representatives brought to his notice. The chief minister said paddy procurement was in progress in the state and public representatives should consistently inspect the procurement centres.

Referring to state government’s efforts to invite investors to the GIS-2023 as successful, he said roadshows held in 16 countries have attracted investment of ₹7 lakh crore.
Last week, the chief minister led a roadshow in Mumbai and got investment proposals of ₹5 lakh crore from there.
