Cobra found at Uddhav Thackeray's residence ‘Matoshree’; released into the wild

Four-foot long cobra found at Uddhav Thackeray's Mumbai residence, safely released into the wild.

A four-feet long cobra was found at Shiv Sena (UBT) chief and former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray's Mumbai residence on Sunday. A wildlife protection and rescue group was called by Shiv Sainiks after the snake was found at around 1.30pm. Responding to the distress call, Atul Kamble sprang into action and took measures to ensure the safety of all involved.

Kamble found a snake of cobra breed lurking behind the water tank. He trapped the cobra and released it into the wild. The snake, measuring approximately four feet in length, belonged to a venomous Cobra species known for its potentially lethal bite.

Kamble said that Uddhav wanted to see the cobra and he showed it to him.

“We handed over the cobra to the forest department and it was released in its natural habitat,” he said.
