The police have identified three of the four accused as Gayabai Sawant, Baliram Sawant, and Babasaheb Jadhav.

According to the police, Ganesh Kolekar, 19, was admitted to Ward 41 of the hospital’s new building with a liver ailment. On Tuesday morning, he developed breathing difficulties and was found unconscious. Doctors began treatment, but he was shortly declared dead.

“Following his death, the relatives allegedly confronted and assaulted nurse Tejaswini Patil and security guards Sunita Salunkhe, Balaji Munde, and Balasaheb Basre,” said a police officer.

A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. They claim that the patient was not given proper treatment, resulting in his death, the officer added.
