NAVI MUMBAI: The police have registered an FIR against a 22-year-old man and the owner of a milk tempo after a viral social media video allegedly showed the vehicle being used to perform dangerous drift stunts on a busy public road.

The case was registered after police came across a 16-second video uploaded on social media. Using technical analysis of the footage, investigators identified the vehicle and the individuals involved.
According to police, the incident occurred at Mahakali Chowk Circle in CBD Belapur, where Ayush Satish Surve allegedly performed drift manoeuvres in the middle of moving traffic, driving in a rash and negligent manner and endangering the lives of motorists and pedestrians.
The milk tempo is owned by Pratik Tukaram Chavan, who has also been booked for allegedly allowing an unlicensed person to drive the vehicle.
Senior Police Inspector Arun Pawar of the CBD Belapur police station said that reckless driving and stunt performances on public roads pose a serious threat to public safety. He added that strict action would be taken against motorists who endanger lives or violate traffic regulations.
