Mumbai: Hundreds of students at Kirti College are facing difficulties due to errors and delays in examination results. The issue came to light after a student’s video highlighting discrepancies in her first- and second-year results went viral on social media.

Students alleged that some candidates who appeared for exams were marked absent, while Allowed to Keep Terms (ATKT) marks were not updated in several cases. Others said their result status changed from pass to fail.
According to the All India Students’ Federation (AISF), more than 300 students have been affected, impacting admissions to LLB, postgraduate and other professional courses, besides scholarship and job applications.
AISF representatives met the college administration on June 4 and June 10, seeking immediate correction of the errors.
Principal Anil Markandey said the problems arose during the transition to a new result-processing agency after the previous contractor’s agreement ended in March.
“We have shifted verification offline and are checking answer sheets and records to identify discrepancies. Priority is being given to third-year students. No student will suffer any loss because of this issue,” he said.
AISF has warned of a protest outside the college on June 19 if the issues are not resolved.
