Noida:The additional director general (ADG) Traffic on Friday held a meeting with senior police officials at Sector 14 A and discussed initiatives to reduce road accidents, fatalities and improve traffic in the district, said officials.

A. Satish Ganesh, ADG (traffic) directed police officials to collaborate with NGOs to run campaigns educating commuters about traffic rules and safe driving practices, said a police officer, requesting anonymity.
The officer said, “The ADG asked officials to identify major traffic bottlenecks, including Mahamaya Flyover, Dalit Prerna Sthal, and Chilla border, to curb congestion.”
Deputy commissioner of police (Traffic), Shailendra Kumar Singh said, “Officials were also instructed to coordinate with the Noida Authority for infrastructure upgrades, such as improving road design, signage, and U-turns, to enhance traffic flow.”
With commercial operations set to begin at Noida International Airport, the ADG also directed authorities to develop comprehensive traffic management plans for surrounding areas to handle the anticipated rise in vehicular movement.
According to traffic police data, Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 430 deaths and 903 injuries in 1,098 accidents in 2025, compared to 462 deaths and 966 injuries in 1,165 accidents in 2024.
