Noida: The Gautam Budh Nagar administration on Monday advanced school timings for students of Classes 1 to 8 to 7:00 am to 12:00 pm due to severe heat and rising temperatures in the district, an official directive said.

The order, issued by Rahul Panwar, district basic education officer (BSA), Gautam Budh Nagar and seen by HT, stated, “Due to the severe heat and rising temperatures affecting students studying in schools of Gautam Budh Nagar, the timings of all council, aided, recognised, CBSE, ICSE, and other board schools for Classes 1 to 8 have been revised to 7:00 am to 12:00 pm.”
Students of these grades generally attend schools from 7:30am to 2:30pm. Notably, most schools in the district are presently on summer vacations and scheduled to reopen on July 1 or later.
The order has asked all schools to implement the revised timings with immediate effect and ensure strict compliance with the directive.
On April 28, the district administration had also issued a similar order, revising school timings due to extreme heat conditions.
