GREATER NOIDA: The Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) officials on Monday met protesting farmers’ families, whose land was acquired to build the airport, and assured them that their demand for permanent employment at the airport will be addressed.

“We will talk to Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) officials to discuss and resolve the demands. We aim to resolve the issues in a day or two. One of their key demands is that they want salary directly from YIAPL. Also, they want to be taken directly on the YIAPL rolls. We can put forth these demands before the YIAPL for a way out,” said RK Singh, CEO, Yamuna expressway industrial development authority (Yeida) and NIAL.
The protesters had gathered outside the Noida International airport site.
After two days of protest the NIAL and the Yeida including other officers met them at Yeida’s sector Omega I office, said officials.
