Noida:Three men sustained injuries after a gas leak triggered a fire at a house in Barola village on Thursday evening, police said.

According to officials, the fire broke out in the pipeline due to a gas leak during cooking around 5.30 pm. The injured have been identified as Anu,19, Shivam,18, and Shani,26, all residents of Badaun district and are currently living in Barola village. The three work as labourers.
They were taken to a hospital and are undergoing treatment, added officials.
“The pipe that connects the cylinder to the stove appeared to have been damaged. Anu was wearing pajamas that caught fire. The other two helped douse the fire and turned off the cylinder,” said Amit Kumar, station house officer, Sector 49 police station, adding that there was no cylinder blast.
Police said only Anu sustained visible burn wounds on legs, while the other two had minor burns.
Officials added that the fire was controlled immediately and the fire department was not called. No case has been registered in connection with the incident.
