Notorious criminal, Bunty Gaikwad, hacked to death in Pune

Gaikwad had cases related to murder attempts lodged against him at Kondhwa and Hadapsar police stations

Bunty Gaikwad ( 27), a notorious criminal on police records, was hacked to death by unidentified assailants on Saturday morning. His body with wounds inflicted by a sharp weapon was found in Yeolewadi.

Police inspector Vinayak Gaikwad, incharge, Kondhwa police station said that Gaikwad was a notorious criminal who had cases related to murder attempts lodged against him at Kondhwa and Hadapsar police stations.

“We believe that the murder has taken place due to previous enmity with some rival criminals. Our preliminary assessment is that he was murdered elsewhere and then dumped at the spot. We are checking into CCTV footage,” he said.
