GORAKHPUR On the very first day of Chaitra Navratri, chief minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayer at Ma Patashwari Temple in Balrampur’s Tulsipur area. He also extended greetings to people of the state on Niv Vikram Sanvat 2080 on Wednesday morning.

The CM also flagged off two women empowerment rallies under Mission Shakti campaign by Uttar Pradesh Police that would pass through 17 districts and culminate on March 29th. The first rally would originate from Patashwari Temple in Balrampur and culminate at Lalitpur in Bundelkhand. The second rally would start from Vindhya Vasni Dham in Mirzapur and culminate at Gautam Buddha Nagar.
Addressing a gathering on this occasion, chief minister recalled that the campaign was launched in 2020. He said that in the past three years, the initiative has become a model for other states to provide safety to women and empower them. He said that a women safety and their self-esteem is the fundamental necessity to develop a prosperous state.
Notably, chief minister Yogi Adityanath had reached here by road on Tuesday evening. Police personnel were on alert mode from Gonda to Balrampur in the wake of CM’s road journey to reach Tulsipur. The CM also took stock of the development projects at Gonda and directed officials to provide maximum benefit to needy people under the Ayushman Scheme.
