Skeletal remains of a man were found on the terrace of a commercial building in Manjeri in Kerala’s Malappuram district, a senior police officer said, adding that the remains have been sent for forensic analysis.

The skeleton was discovered on Tuesday night by two workers who were looking for a discarded flex board on the terrace.
The two-storey building houses some shops and a few migrant workers from Tamil Nadu.
“The skeleton is suspected to be around two months old. A few items, including a T-shirt and a briefcase, were also found along with the remains. The skeleton has been sent to the Manjeri Medical College hospital for forensic examination. We can share more details only after the forensic report comes,” the Manjeri SHO told HT.
As part of the investigation, the police will question the workers staying in the building and the building owner. Cops are also verifying missing cases reported in the area.
