Ludhiana resident man booked for flaunting gun on social media

Uploading photos and videos with licensed gun on social media platform proved costly for a resident of Dashmesh Nagar of Mandi Mullanpur. The police have booked Sukhdev Singh and seized his 0.12 bore gun and arm license.

Sub-inspector Jaswinder Singh said a case has been registered under Sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 294 (obscene acts and songs), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code against the accused.

Earlier on Monday, Samrala police and Machhiwara police had booked three persons who were flaunting weapons on social networking sites.

Notably, Ludhiana rural police had on November 19 booked singer Tari Kasapuria, producer Satta DK of Bhaini Darera village of Raikot and owner of Love Music Company for releasing a song promoting “gun culture”.
