Temple sniffer dog Venom dies after cancer battle

Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Dr Kaustubh carried Venom’s body on his shoulder during the funeral procession, reflecting the respect and affection the police department had for the loyal canine. Police said Venom had been undergoing treatment for cancer for some time, but his condition worsened in recent weeks. Despite continuous medical care, he died on Tuesday.

Senior police officers paid floral tributes to the sniffer dog, remembering his years of dedicated service. Police personnel said Venom served with unwavering dedication and discipline, and that his contribution to the security of the Gorakhnath Temple would always be remembered.
