Annoyed over her ‘lifestyle’, woman shoots daughter-in-law dead
A woman in Gajraula town, India, shot and killed her daughter-in-law due to annoyance over her lifestyle and disinterest in household chores. The woman, along with her husband and son, was arrested. The woman tried to make it look like a case of robbery and murder.
Annoyed over her lifestyle and her disinterest in household chores, a woman shot her 24-year-old daughter-in-law dead in Ganga Nagar locality of Gajraula town in Amroha district on Sunday.
The police arrested the woman identified as Radhika, her son Amit, and husband Narendra on Tuesday. The woman who confessed to her crime, had tried to project the incident as a case of robbery and murder.
Inspector of Gajraula police station Ashok Verma said the victim Komal’s mother Geeta had lodged a case against Radhika, Narendra and Amit on June 25 and accused them of demanding dowry after which they killed her daughter.
Inspector said that during interrogation Radhika confessed to her crime and said that she killed Komal in her sleep.
Police have recovered 315 bore country made pistol from the gutter where Radhika disposed it of after committing the crime. Family members said that they had bought the illegal weapon for the safety of their family.
The accused Radhika told police that Komal and her son Amit got married over a year back and the couple started living in a separate house. She said that Komal was born and brought up in Delhi and she had least interest in household chores which used to upset her son.
Inspector said that all the three accused hatched a conspiracy to kill Komal. Radhika shot her dead in her sleep while Amit and Narendra were not at home.
To project it as a case of robbery and murder, the accused ransacked the house and then called two grocery shop owners in the vicinity and told them that robbers had killed Komal and looted valuables.
