2 recovery agents booked for assaulting 59-yr-old

Kondhwa police have registered a case against two finance agents for allegedly assaulting a senior citizen and his wife during a loan collection visit.

The Kondhwa police have registered an offence against two individuals of a finance company for allegedly assaulting a senior citizen in Kondhwa area.

According to the police, the complainant, 59-year-old Idris Saifuddin Cyclewala, alleged that two recovery agents visited his residence in Bhagyanagar at around 5.30 pm on May 26 to collect overdue instalments on a mobile phone loan taken by his son.

As per the complaint, an argument broke out after the agents arrived at the house. During the altercation, the accused allegedly abused Cyclewala’s wife and slapped her. The duo also allegedly kicked the main door, causing it to strike Cyclewala in the eye and injure him.

Police officials said further inquiries are underway to establish the sequence of events and ascertain the role of the accused in the alleged assault.
