The polls, earlier scheduled for February 5, were rescheduled on February 7, while the counting of votes has been rescheduled to February 9.

“The district administration had done all the preparation for the election. A total of 23,114 officers and staff have been deployed. The voting time is between 7.30 and 5.30 at 3,605 polling stations.”

Both NCP factions are contesting together for the zilla parishad elections. The main contest is between the BJP and the NCP. After the death of former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, no campaigns were held by either party.
