29 mobile phones stolen from shop in Pune

PUNE: The police reported burglary at a mobile shop in Manjari area of Pune late Monday night. The robbers fled with mobile handsets and accessories worth 78,112.

The robbers entered the shop by breaking the lock and stole 29 mobile phones and other items. A complaint was lodged by the shop owner Swapnil Gaikwad (29) of Manjari.

A case under Sections 454 (housebreaking in order to commit offence), 457 (housebreaking by night), 380 (whoever commits theft in any building, tent or vessel) of Indian Penal Code was registered at Hadapsar police station. Assistant police inspector Sachin Thorat is investigating the case.
