Pune: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday announced the schedule for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). Candidates can submit the application online (ctet.nic.in) till December 18 for the February 8 exam.

A recent Supreme Court ruling has made Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualification mandatory for teachers across India. CTET is considered essential for securing positions in central government schools and private institutions.
For candidates belonging to the general category, the exam fee is ₹1,000 for Paper 1 and ₹1,200 for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. For SC/ST candidates, the fee is ₹500 for Paper 1 and ₹600 for both papers.
Paper 2 will be held from 9.30am to 12noon, followed by Paper 1 from 2.30pm to 5pm.
