Four, including minor boy, booked for murder of friend
Four individuals, including a minor, were booked for murdering Prathamesh Mane in Chakan over disputes, using sharp weapons and stones.
Police have booked four persons, including a minor, for allegedly murdering their friend, officials said on Sunday.
The incident occurred on February 14 between 3:30pm and 4pm near Nehru Chowk, Chakan, where Prathamesh Mane was attacked and killed by his four friends.
The accused have been identified as Vaibhav Shinde, Anuj Pardeshi, Mayur Tarade and a minor accomplice. Shinde was arrested by the police.
According to police, as per the complaint filed by the father of the victim, Shashikant Mane, Prathamesh was attacked by his friends over old disputes.
The accused assaulted the victim with sharp weapons, including a screwdriver and other pointed objects. He was repeatedly stabbed in the chest and brutally beaten with stones, causing severe head injuries. He succumbed to his injuries at the incident spot.
A case has been filed under sections 103(1), 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for murder and other related offences.
