Gokhale Institute to host conclave on March 13

The Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE), Pune, will host a national conclave on “Next-Gen GST & the Road to Viksit Bharat @ 2047” on March 13 at Kale Hall.

Organised in collaboration with the Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi, the event will bring together leading economists, policymakers, tax administrators, industry experts, and academics to chart the future of India’s Goods and Services Tax (GST). (HT FILE)

Organised in collaboration with the Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi, the event will bring together leading economists, policymakers, tax administrators, industry experts, and academics to chart the future of India’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) and its role in realising the government’s vision of a developed and inclusive nation by 2047.

The inaugural session will feature Prof Santishree Pandit, vice-chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru University; Nitin Kareer, chairman, Maharashtra State Finance Commission; Vivek Johri, former chairman Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).

The discussions aim to generate actionable policy recommendations and a peer-reviewed volume to guide the next phase of GST reforms.
