A 23-year-old man was brutally murdered at the parking lot of a housing society on Sinhagad College Road at around 2.30pm on Monday, according to the police.
The deceased, identified as Taifir Rafiq Sheikh of Kondhwa, had criminal cases registered against him.

Police said Sheikh died of injuries after five men assaulted him with koyta (machete) and stones before fleeing the scene.
Officials claimed to have identified two suspects who are juveniles. Sinhagad Road Police Station has filed a case against the accused.
