MNS claims pre-monsoon works are incomplete in Pune

They appealed to the civic administration to finish nullah cleaning works mainly at Bhairoba nala, Ambil odha (stream) and 34 merged villages

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) claims that the pre-monsoon works carried out by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) are unfinished.

The party members under the leadership of city unit president Sainath Babar and party secretary Babu Vagaskar staged an agitation at PMC headquarters and later met municipal commissioner Vikram Kumar. They appealed to the civic administration to finish nullah cleaning works mainly at Bhairoba nala, Ambil odha (stream) and 34 merged villages.

Babar said, “Though the administration claims that nullah cleaning works are completed, the ground situation is different. Senior officers have not inspected the spot to monitor the progress of work.”

Vagaskar said, “It is the duty of PMC to monitor the work at the ground level. The nullah works in merged villages is yet to be completed.”

“The municipal commissioner has assured us that all pre-monsoon works will be completed by June 10,” said Babar.
