Pune: The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) awaits an official proposal from Ajit Pawar party for alliance, said state unit head Shashikant Shinde.

Shinde visited Pune on Friday to take a review for municipal corporation election preparations and met candidates.
Interacting with the media, Shinde said, “While the factions discussed the alliance for Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), an official decision is awaited as we are chalking out possibilities. We will contest the PMC polls under the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) of Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (SP).”
On the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) joining MVA, Shinde said, “No official proposal received yet.”
Sharing his assessment on political developments in the run-up to the local polls, Shinde said, “Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) have aligned keeping NCP away at many places. It is time for Ajit Pawar to think about his political strategy as BJP has always used alliance partners for their benefit.”
