In view of the Republic Day celebrations, security arrangements at Pune airport have been significantly strengthened to ensure the safety of passengers, aircraft, and critical infrastructure. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has deployed Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) and stepped up intensive patrolling in and around the airport premises.

As part of the heightened security protocol, rigorous checking of vehicles and passengers is being carried out at approach nakas leading to the terminal buildings. Authorities have also implemented compulsory 100 per cent secondary ladder point checking for all flights with effect, which will remain in force till January 30.
Santosh Dhoke, director, Pune airport, said, “In view of Republic Day, comprehensive security measures have been put in place at Pune airport. All concerned agencies are working in close coordination to ensure seamless operations while maintaining the highest level of security for passengers, aircraft, and airport infrastructure. Passengers are requested to cooperate with security personnel and arrive well in time to facilitate smooth screening.”
