The Koregaon Park police station has lodged a complaint against the managing director of a company for allegedly not depositing the Employees’ Provident Fund (PF) worth ₹16.69 lakh in the account despite deducting the amount from the salaries of employees.

The complaint was lodged by Rahul Kokate (50) of Koregaon Park.
The first information report (FIR) states that the complainant, an inspector at the Golibar Maidan PF office in Pune, found the malpractice during inspection of records. Two persons have been booked in the case.
Inspector Mahesh Varal is the investigation officer of the case. The police have invoked Section 406 (criminal breach of trust) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused. The police did not reveal names of the accused and the company’s name.
