The injured 15-year-old boy was at a tea stall in Janata Vasahat area with his friends. A case was registered against a group of seven people, according to the police.

As the boy and his friends left the stall on their vehicles, the accused blocked their way and started a physical fight claiming that it was revenge for a sickle attack that the victim’s friends had made on the accused group’s friends. The accused used sickles and bamboo sticks and caused injuries to many people. The boy sustained injuries on his head and waist. The police are on a lookout for the accused.

“We have apprehended one minor boy from the group and are looking for the others,” said assistant inspector Siddhanath Khandekar of Dattawadi police station who is investigating the case.

A case under Sections 307, 341, rioting, 504, 506 of Indian Penal Code along with Sections 37(1) with135 of Maharashtra Police Act and Section 7(1) of Criminal Law Amendment Act was registered at Dattawadi police station.
