Two cases filed following clashes between neighbours in Kondhwa

According to the police, the first complaint was lodged by Samarth Mallari Bagde, 20, who alleged that he was abused and physically assaulted by Riyaz Mujawar, along with his younger brother, mother, wife, sister, brother-in-law and three to four unidentified persons following a personal dispute.

Pune: The Kondhwa police on Tuesday registered two assault cases following clashes between neighbours in the Kondhwa Khurd area during the evening, with both incidents occurring within a short span of time near Ambedkar Nagar, lane number 5, police officials said on Thursday.

According to the police, the first complaint was lodged by Samarth Mallari Bagde, 20, who alleged that he was abused and physically assaulted by Riyaz Mujawar, along with his younger brother, mother, wife, sister, brother-in-law and three to four unidentified persons following a personal dispute, near Arya Hospital, Ambedkar Nagar, Kondhwa Khurd, around 6.30 pm.

In a counter-complaint arising from the same dispute, Sadaf Riyaz Mujawar, 30, approached the police alleging that he was attacked near the same hospital in the area by Bagde, his brother, their mother and other family members over a family-related disagreement between 6 pm and 6.30 pm on the same day.

Based on the complaints, the police have registered cases under Sections 189(2), 190, 191(2), 352, 351(2)(3) and 115(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
