Former Union Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Prakash Javadekar on Saturday urged students to use knowledge for their own country and not foreign companies. He was speaking during the inaugural session of the two-day National Students’ Conference organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) at Mahalaxmi Lawns on Saturday.

“When ethics guide value creation, it leads to the creation of real wealth. Instead of lending your intellect to foreign companies, use it for your own country,” he said.
The conference, themed ‘Agriya’, was jointly hosted by the Pune Branch of WIRC of ICAI and the Pune Branch of WICASA, drawing over 2,000 CA students from across India.
Javadekar, known for his engaging sessions with young people, advised students to strike a balance between career and personal growth. “Pursuing hobbies alongside your career relieves stress and improves focus. Keep your curiosity alive and never let the student within you die,” he said.
Several members from the field attended the event.
