Modern day living is becoming hugely dependent on the use of gizmos like the smartphones, laptops, etc. Conventional charging of the batteries within these devices enables their use in external spaces. There are similarities between the human mind and a battery in more ways than one. It stores information in bits and pieces from here and there and releases it as and when needed. As a battery is charged it goes through variations in voltage much like the type and nature of information entering our mind.

But unlike the mind, the state of charge in a battery diminishes with constant use. It is then topped up with a fresh dose of charge. Our mind breathes in fresh ideas and processes from nature in no less measure. Understandably, the cathode and anode in a typical energy storage device, like a battery, cannot be interchanged. The human mind, however, is a wandering self with no such boundaries or limitations.

Today, battery cells can even be charged by harnessing the Sun’s energy. The human mind made that happen with its enabling storage of so many things leading to the development of different battery types.

All this proves nature’s ability to provide different materials, each with its inherent advantages and disadvantages. Our minds perhaps work much the same way in individual body frames with varying levels of competences and abilities.
