In a mundane world, Satan and the allied malevolent forces — marked by obstructionist and destructive actions — rule the roost. Harmony and peace are anathema to them. In scriptures, demons are known to interrupt the meditating saints. However, since the malevolent persons have an instinctive aversion to order and peace, it would be unfair to blame them squarely. They should not be treated with disdain, animosity, malice or grudge.

The reticence and relative non-assertiveness of the virtuous reflexively giving way to the aggressive is often construed as weakness. However, divine law warrants that truth and propriety must prevail.

In an era when the terror of demons wrought havoc all around, all gods had to lend their weapons to Durga to annihilate the demons and restore the godly regime.

The all-powerful god does not decimate the Satanic and evil spirits because both gods and the devils are descendents of same creator, and both are entitled to live. Therefore all living beings have the discretion to choose the course of life they want.

The instincts of philanthropy and mischief are inherent in each living being. Based on their level of enlightenment, one picks a certain path. At the end of the road to virtuosity and uprightness is glory though the passage is equally tough and daunting. American poet Angela Morgan says that it is only after being hammered and hurt with mighty blows and ruthlessly perfected by nature that one emerges “so great and bold a man that all the world shall praise.”
