Former India cricket captain Mohammed Azharuddin sustained minor injures when his car collided with a state transport bus in Navi Mumbai on the outskirts of the metropolis on Sunday.
The driver of the Honda City car was also injured, they said, police said.
The accident occured when Azharuddin, along with his two children, was going via Palm Beach Road towards Uran Phata. A Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation bus dashed against his vehicle, they said.
