Harbhajan was recalled to the India team after more than a year, to face England at the same venue in November. An unimpressive performance meant that he was back playing Ranji Trophy.

A mediocre performance saw the Punjab skipper take only 16 wickets in five games. .

During practice on Tuesday, he was among the first to arrive and the last to leave, a testimony to his desire to shine again.

"If I do well here, I could make it for the Australia Tests. Wickets will come, if not today, tomorrow it will come. It will be great to play for India and I would love to do something special for the country," Harbhajan said. He admitted the thought of the 100th Test had affected his performance a bit, although he vowed to brush it aside for now.
