Rahul Dravid's form-slump in the ongoing Test series against Australia has pushed him a rung to 16th in the latest ICC rankings issued on Tuesday.

However, the right-hander, who has struggled as opener in the ongoing series which India trails 0-2, is still a notch above 17th placed Sourav Ganguly and 18th-positioned VVS laxman.

Sachin Tendulkar remains the highest-ranked Indian in the batting list at 14th, tied on points with former New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming, who gained a couple of spots to achieve his best-ever ranking.

Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Kumar Sangakkara heads the batting chart followed by South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis and Australian skipper Ricky Ponting.

In the bowling list, Indian captain and veteran leg-spinner Anil Kumble held on to his sixth spot, making him the only Indian in the top-10.

Zaheer Khan is the next Indian in the list at the 13th position. Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan leads the pack followed by South African pacer Dale Steyn.

Australian medium pacer Stuart Clark stands third with compatriot Brett Lee at fourth.
